wow!

so we had a phenomenal weekend, and as if a surprise visit from far-away friends wasn't good enough, junebug and i had the opportunity for an amazing mother-daughter date, all stemming from as a random e-newsletter...

thursday...i got an e-newsletter in which her name was mentioned & caught my eye just as it had caught the eye of abc news!
friday...found her blog and the global orphan website
saturday...realized they had a big event *go big for the small* going on THE VERY NEXT DAY; and our jar-saving-to-give-something-special had a bit over $100 (just enough for a ticket for my girl and i) in it...so we signed up!! --for this cocktail-party-fundraiser we felt a bit like country bumpkins :)
sunday...we met, chatted with, and even got a picture with 8-year-old isabelle and her art! ~ here's another name to add to our hero list! ~
